Dubai, one of the busiest cities in the world. The city was built with endless effort and hopes by people who came to Dubai with the aspiration of a successful life and future. Dubai never stops to marvel you, and that’s evident from the millions of visitors from all over the world. Where in the world can you find a multicultural city that welcomes everyone irrespective of any barriers? Dubai always hosts events and festivals throughout the year. Being the official host of the 2020 World Expo, the face of Dubai will change drastically.

The first place I would suggest you visit would be the Dubai Museum “Al Fahdi fort”. It depicts the traditional life, civilization, and culture, their effort to build this glorious city. The exhibits include small antiques and pottery to their traditional life of Emiratis. The history of their early livelihood by pearl diving, the spectacular astronomy exhibits, the folklore, the weaponry, and the religious history wings are highlights of the Dubai Museum. The museum gives you an opportunity to get acquainted with the history and journey of Dubai from a bleak desert to one of the most popular and busiest cities in the world. The Museum is located in Bur Dubai which is like the traditional center of Dubai.

The traditional souks in Deira and Bur Dubai are must-visit places. Expect everything that you wanted all through your life in this city. It is all chaos, noisy, crowded and the air filled with the aroma of spices. Get ready with your bargaining skills starting from half of the rate. Do not miss the Gold Souk. The best reference I can give you is the cave of wonders ( Aladdin). You can’t expect anything less in the city of gold.

In contrast, let’s get to the superlative side of Dubai that goes hand in hand with technology and lifestyle. Without a doubt, the highlight of Dubai is Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. The observatory deck on the 125th floor of Burj Khalifa gives an entire panoramic view of the new Dubai. The Dubai mall located at the base of the Burj Khalifa is a world of its own. I dare you if you can visit the whole mall in just 1 day. (Don’t worry …there will be buggy carts around if you get too tired to walk). The major attraction for the family especially kids in Dubai mall is the Dubai Aquarium and the Dubai Fountains. The newest addition to Dubai wonders is the Dubai Frame. Yeah, it's literally a frame-shaped building. The frame connects with the present and the past giving you views of the old and the new Dubai.

The construction of the artificial islands changed the status of Dubai on the tourism side. Hotel Burj Khalifa was their project followed by The Palm islands. Imagine an island in the shape of a Palm. How crazy is that? And it’s not just one, three goes in a row. Yes, only Dubai can make it happen!!! Palm Jumeirah is the only one open to the public.

Sky diving

Your visit to Dubai is incomplete if you do not experience a desert safari. Brace yourself for some dune bashing joyride in the dunes of Dubai, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You will be able to capture Instagram worthy pictures of the different shades of dusk as you go for a camel ride across the desert. Under the moonlit sky in the middle of the desert, you will feel cozy and a night filled with entertainment. The campfire, the BBQ, shisha, and everything over there adds up in giving you the perfect Bedouin night experience.

(p.s Yes there will be belly dancing!!!)
